Mail merge to PDF
Reads CSV or the worksheets of an XLSX file, maps columns to form fields by name and flags unknown placeholders before anything is generated. Letters flow onto further pages by themselves; the standard PDF font covers Western European characters only.

Frequently asked questions

Which characters can the PDFs contain?

The built-in PDF font covers Western European characters such as ä, é or ñ. If the data or template contains Cyrillic, Arabic, Asian or Turkish-specific letters, UseTool names them before creating anything instead of printing question marks.

How are columns matched to form fields?

By name: a column called “Email” fills a field named email or labelled Email. Every match can be changed before you start, and fields without a column keep their original value.

Does the file lose quality?

The pixels and the text are left alone. Only the structure around them changes.

When does it not work?

Password-protected files cannot be opened. Very large files are limited by your device's memory, not by a server quota.

Does the text stay searchable?

Yes, and compressing keeps it that way too: by default only the embedded photos are recompressed, while text, fonts and layout stay untouched. Merging, splitting and adding images move the pages as they are. Only the second compression method redraws every page as an image — then the text becomes part of the picture, and the tool says so before you start.

Can password-protected PDFs be opened?

No. A PDF locked with a password cannot be read in the browser, and the tool says so rather than producing an empty document. Remove the protection in the program that created the file first.
