Does the transfer need internet?

Only to open the page once. The data itself travels from screen to camera or inside a video file; nothing is uploaded.

Can I send several files at once?

Yes. Choose several files; they travel together and arrive as separate files again.

How do I know the file is complete?

Every transfer ends with a SHA-256 check. A file is only offered for saving when it matches the original exactly.
